Checking In On the Activists

I have always liked the idea of activist investors. I am not sure if it is '80s nostalgia, with one eye toward the corporate raiders of old, that does it for me. Maybe it's the populism. Maybe it is the nods to piracy that many of the activists themselves make that pulls me in.

Whatever it is, this peculiar class of shareholders has come back into vogue recently to the point where it has garnered a full write-up in The Economist. Anyone who is interested can check out the piece here.
