It looks like my previous thoughts on Brazil's World Cup readiness have, unfortunately, taken on a new significance in light of recent events during the warm-up Confederations Cup including riots and high profile robberies and burglaries. Here's hoping that Brazil gets things right for next year, that there is no social strife and no crimes and that the World Cup goes off without a hitch. That said, America will be ready to meet the call of FIFA should any tough decisions need to be made about a switch.
Of course none of this has anything to do with the fact that I am in America...
