I was recently reading a post on the job market at Above the Law and one of the site's many prolific commenters, bl1y, posted a riddle with some relevance to the subject matter of that site (and, of course, Blawgconomics). I am sure I have heard the following at some point in the past, but that doesn't make it any less amusing:
Those who have it do not want it.
Those who need it cannot afford it.
Those who give it wish they could quit it.
Those who teach it do not know what it is.
What is it?
